The President of the Stakeholders in Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria (SiBAN) Barr. Mela Claude Ake representing the association, paid a working visit to the leadership and staff of Dantown, a leading Nigerian crypto-fintech platform, to discuss key developments shaping the country's blockchain and digital-asset landscape.
The visit brought together two organisations with a longstanding working relationship. Dantown is a corporate member of SiBAN, and its founder, Chimene Chinah, currently serves as SiBAN's Vice President 1 for Blockchain Education and Adoption.

Beyond the handshake and the boardroom conversation, the visit was a reminder that Nigeria's blockchain industry is still, at its core, a community. Association and enterprise sitting across the same table, comparing notes on where the industry stands and where it's headed next. This is the kind of engagement that shapes how policy, adoption, and trust develop across the sector.

Discussions centred on some of the most pressing issues currently affecting the industry, including the recently released Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) tax guidelines for virtual assets, the broader push for regulatory clarity across the sector, and the ongoing work required to bring more Nigerians into the formal digital-asset economy. Both sides also touched on the importance of continued collaboration between industry associations and licensed platforms in shaping policy that reflects the realities of the market, rather than working against them.
The visit shows SiBAN's continued commitment to engaging directly with its member organisations, not only through formal advocacy and public statements, but through on-the-ground conversations with the businesses building Nigeria's digital-asset infrastructure.
As Nigeria's blockchain industry continues to navigate an evolving regulatory environment, engagements like this one signal a shared interest between SiBAN and its members in ensuring that policy, education, and industry growth move forward together.
